This is a form of Consulting Agreement to be entered into by a business entity and an individual for the performance of consulting services. The Agreement may be modified to indicate with specificity the type of services to be rendered. The method of compensation of the consultant in these Agreements may vary. In some cases, there is a fixed amount to be paid, based on the consultant’s general availability on an as-needed basis for a period of time. In other cases, the consultant is to be paid for services actually rendered on an hourly or daily basis. Again, this Agreement may be modified to address the compensation arrangement adopted.
Section 6 of this Agreement suggests a fixed term. It is possible that the parties will want an ongoing agreement that is deemed to be renewed automatically each year, unless terminated by one of the parties. Again, this Agreement may be modified to address such a provision.
